SERA2 Workshop

The students of the various associations working on SERA2 have just dedicated 2 days of their university holidays to work together on various themes concerning the rocket and the campaign.

So, 22 people were welcomed in the premises of the GAREF, in Paris, on October 26th and 27th, 2015, to develop subjects so varied as:

An ’Andromède’ training and its applications of studies system appropriate to rockets SERA1 and SERA2. Students of the CLC (Cosmos Ecole Centrale of Lyon) and S3 ( Supaero Space Section) worked during a whole day on the studies of global loads and other system constraints , thanks to the training brought by Rémi DELPY, of the GAREF, and members of the Integrated PERSEUS Project team ( EPIP).

  • Meanwhile, other students of the CLC, S3 and OCTAVE (Organism of Aerospace Technological Creation of the City of Evry) have updated the documentation concerning the rocket (definition files, justification and preparation of the tests), having discovered, thanks to a very educational description of Antoine BIANCHI de l’ ISS (Ipsa Space Systems), all the secrets of the rocket SERA1.
  • During the second day, Guillaume LISCH, S3 project manager on the rocket SERA1 presented the progress of the campaign in May, 2014, before that the group puts itself in order to organize the SERA2 campaign.
Last two workshops, the one presenting the GAREF ground station and the other one preparing the guidelines to set in terms of communication has allowed to end these SERA2 days .

Nice working days in common and of meetings for these 2 days supervised by the EPIP and more particularly, Sylvain PERNON ( IPSA) and Hélène HINGRE ( Mi-GSO), persons in charge of the SERA2 project ! And Congratulations to everyone for their participation!
